Opole University of Technology
Studying at the Opole University of Technology is an opportunity to explore technical disciplines such as construction engineering and computer science, in addition to administration, economics, physical therapy and architecture. Also available are various post-graduate and doctoral programmes, as well as a plethora of other courses and training programmes.
Those with an inquisitive mind and looking to gain valuable experience can participate in exchange programmes (such as Erasmus), which offer a convenient opportunity to spend a semester or two abroad, studying at one of our more than 100 partnered universities! The University also works together with American universities and diplomatic posts. As one of four universities in Poland, we host a range of interesting courses and classes taught by the Confucius Institute (Centre for Polish-Chinese Partnership), which promotes the Chinese language and culture.
The University also has its own Sports Association numbering more than 1700 athletes across its 30 competitive and amateur sections. Students can enjoy a well-equipped sports hall with an indoor running track, gym and dance room with mirrors, and campus number two houses an indoor Olympic-size swimming pool. Students can also be granted some of the biggest scholarships in the country, ranging from scholarships for academic achievements to those dedicated for the underprivileged and disabled, as well as city and ministry-funded scholarships.
The University is known for its state-of-the-art and innovative laboratories. Specialised equipment enables the research faculty and students to simulate earthquakes, study high voltage and infrasounds, test the abilities of the humanoid robot NAO and much more. The University’s research focuses on modern construction material technologies and the mathematical modelling of fatigue processes for industry applications, among others.
