Annual events organised since 2008 include the country-wide Student Science Club Conference and the Cross-University Nursing Olympiad. The students are active members of the Blood Donor Club and organise awareness campaigns for a foundation promoting bone marrow donation, in addition to participating in various student clubs.
The OMS operates an important medical publishing house.
