Culture Night
Culture Night is a big event drawing people from all across Poland every June. Starting in the late afternoon/evening, it ends late at night.
The idea behind the event is to interest the locals and visitors alike in the city’s culture venues by offering interesting activities in a unique night-time context. There is something for everybody. Those who like to stay active can play detectives and track criminals, seek the treasure of the Templars, go orienteering or participate in dance workshops, various happenings and urban games. Those who like to take it slow can enjoy exhibitions and concerts at the Opole Philharmonic, go to a pub or restaurant, and even listen to jazz music at the railway station. You can also go to a meet and greet, enjoy drama and puppet performances, film screenings, as well as dance and fairy tale performances, animated movie screenings and photography, floral, cooking and theatre workshops. One night is not enough for all of this!
What also makes Culture Night unique is the opportunity to visit places which are usually unavailable to the public – the obscure corners of museums, theatres, libraries and archives. Truly an unforgettable experience!
