Opole Literary Autumn
Opole Literary Autumn is a cycle of book-related events which first took place 15 years ago. It is undoubtedly the largest celebration of literature in Opole. Originally, the events which made up the endeavour were over after two to three days – today, the running time is more than a month. Anyone who likes and appreciates reading is sure to find something interesting.
Meet and greet sessions with writers, poets, journalists, critics, literature historians and translators, all of whom can talk both beautifully and captivatingly about books written by them and others, are of course the most important part of the event. Previous guests have included Julian Kornhauser, Filip Springer, Michał Książek, Marcin Świetlicki and other popular writers from Opole: Remigiusz Mróz and Tomasz Różycki.
Opole Literary Autumn also includes bard concerts, poster exhibitions, anniversary celebrations, readings and film screenings. It is a celebration of the written word, whose goal is to promote important literature-related initiatives and to present the Opole literary community. Opole Literary Autumn takes place every year in November and December.
