Opole Photography Festival (OFF)
An event for those who believe that a picture is worth more than a thousand words, the festival was first organised in 2011 and usually takes place in October. It is managed by Fundacja 2.8, which is made up fo renowned Opole photographers and photojournalists who are members of the Association of Polish Art Photographers.
Festival activities include exhibitions and meetings with celebrity photographers. Previous guests have included Chris Niedenthal, Krzysztof Gierałtowski, Filip Springer and Wojciech Grzędziński. It also serves as an opportunity to commemorate old masters of the art, for example Opole local Max Glauer, who was active before the war. The festival also involves workshops for more and less advanced adepts of photography, which range from the fundamentals to themed workshops on portraits, landscapes, photojournalism and composite photography.
