Christmas Fair
When the Opole Market Square starts to smell like the forest and glimmer with thousands of lights, you know that Christmas is around the corner. The Christmas Fair in Opole’s city centre is full of wonders big and small.
The event begins in early December and ends on Christmas Eve, and traditionally features the March of the Santas, one of the most popular parades in Opole. Ice carving workshops are also a hit with visitors, transforming the Market Square into a magical realm of ice.
Other attractions include Christmas tree decoration crafting, bread and ginger cookie baking workshops, as well as carolling and various contests. In addition, expect a Ferris wheel, pontoon slope, carousel, as well as a reindeer corral with Santa accompanied by elves and an Eskimo village, where you can learn to shoot a bow and try your hand at dog sledding.
The fair could not do without rows of booths selling Christmas decorations, treats, handicrafts and little gifts.
